Good Morning Cheesy1’s!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas in 2014 and that it was full memories to cherish. I know I certainly did and I also had lots of cheese to eat as well 😉

I thought that this week I would bring you my favourite cheese over Christmas and tell you why it was my favourite over the festive period. The cheese that stood out to me over Christmas was Cropwell Bishop Stilton because it represented what a Stilton is meant to be, it was rich, creamy, strong & tangy. Simply put it was on the money for flavour and although I still prefer Colston Bassett overall the flavour was absolutely superb. It was a good year for the weather and thus cows grazing would have good grass to eat, so one can guess that it would be something to do with that. When it was sat on the cheese board it had a perfect golden colour and was evenly veined which certainly made it look very appetising. When eaten it was beautiful and with a grape on a cheese biscuit there isn’t much else that comes close to a tasty treat. So if you have any left use it to celebrate your New Years celebration or get some from your local supermarket to give your cheese board a blue cheese boost using Cropwell Bishop Stilton.

I’m glad to be back fully rested over the festive season and I look forward to bringing you lots of exciting cheesy things in 2015, so for now Happy New Year to you all!
