This is your Captain speaking we are approaching Mach 2!

Not many people get to look at one of these rare menus.
Not many people get to look at one of these rare menus.

I have had the privilege of borrowing a Concorde menu for use on my cheese blog. A lovely Lady who I have the pleasure of knowing kindly lent it to me over this weekend.

So why feature it on a cheese blog? Well…

A lovely little selection of cheese while flying.
A lovely little selection of cheese while flying.

(As terrible as it is to say but it should be Appleby’s Cheshire! I wonder how many menus out there have a spelling mistake?)

This is the answer a Concorde cheese selection, they must have used a wide variety of cheeses over the years and one can only imagine what it must have been like to eat quality cheeses at over 2,000MPH!

These cheeses have a very mild flavour and are very similar in textures and tastes. They were obviously interested in catering to all the passengers taste buds.

I will delve into these cheeses in more detail in the next week so you can learn more about them.

For now have a safe flight and look forward to landing some more blog posts over the next week.
