Old Winchester + New Forest Honey= Delicious!

So I’m sat here at the end of June on a 21c day thinking about Christmas Cheese boards! (I know what your thinking lol) BUT I have just tried Old Winchester & New Forest Honey (Produced by a family in Fawley) and it is one of the best discoveries of my recent cheese history. The combination of Parmigiano & Italian honey is well known so I tried an extremely local twist. The cheese & honey are produced in under an hour of each other and match superbly. The flavour of the strong aged salty Old Winchester and the floral sweetness of the honey are like a match made for each other. I would say that for a different take on a dessert then try this when you get the chance.

Let me know in the comments if any of you try this!

Have fun in the sun

  1. Try this on toast, and have to say it was very nice. Coming from someone, who isn’t a big cheese or honey fan. I would say for people to give it a go.
